Our home sweet home - this spring

So.....after years of blog wandering from one favorite to another, i finally decided to do my thing.
With so much to write, share and show i will nevertheless gather my thoughts more frequently and publish.
Spring's almost over. The cherry tree in all its glory in our back yard(see pic) had the nicest little cherries this season. My toddler nephew would'nt leave the backyard until he ate atleast 5 at a time.Just watching him savour those cherries made our tree planting worth the effort.

dressing up the vase

I use my jewellery and beads to dress a table or any surface in the house. It adds a certain something to the object. And ofcourse i casually pick it up and wear it before i leave the house.

Bead array.
Took out my bead collection. The display gets rotated around the house. Sometimes in a bowl on the table - all bunched up just gleaming for a conversation.Sometimes hanging on the most unassuming portrait/painting.Then there's the obvious - perched on my neck.

Coffee berry

The travelling horseman

This family heirloom has been passed on to my daughter by a grand aunt. Its a hand made wooden piece thats stood the test of my cleaning mishaps.
Its fascinating how our 'Toys r us' captivated kids had ancestors who could just play creatively with little wooden horses.Rustic wooden or flashy ,every toy has a story.
